Every forward-looking part of Hemingway University carries one of three statuses. As work progresses, items move from Long-term to In development to Now.

Accreditation

A long-term goal, pursued carefully.

Hemingway University is not accredited and does not grant recognized degrees. Becoming an accredited university is its long-term goal.

Accreditation is an eventual outcome of building real institutional capacity, which will require:

  • Governance and institutional oversight
  • Qualified faculty
  • Formal academic policies
  • Program learning outcomes and assessment
  • Student records and student services
  • Evidence of institutional effectiveness
  • Financial sustainability
  • Formal curricula and credit structures

The institution, and this site, are being designed to remain compatible with those requirements as they develop.
